🍞 Golden Pain Perdu (French Toast)

Ingredients
- 8 Scheiben Stale white bread (cut into 2 cm slices)
- 200 ml Milk
- 3 Stk Eggs (Size M)
- 10 g Vanilla sugar
- 2 g Cinnamon (ground)
- 30 g Butter (for frying)
- 40 ml Maple syrup (for serving)
Instructions
- 1. Mix the milk, eggs, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
- 2. Dip each slice of bread briefly into the egg mixture until it has absorbed the liquid.
- 3. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add half of the butter.
- 4. Place the soaked bread slices in the pan and fry them until golden brown.
- 5. Flip the slices and finish frying the other side.
- 6. Fry the remaining slices in the remaining butter.
- 7. Serve the Pain Perdu hot with a splash of maple syrup.
