  1. 1. Rinse the chickpeas well and let them drain.
  2. 2. Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes of approx. 2 cm.
  3. 3. Boil the potato cubes in salted water until they are tender (approx. 15 minutes). Let them cool and do not press them too hard into a mash.
  4. 4. Cut the cucumber into small cubes. Also cut the pickles finely.
  5. 5. Cut the red onion into very fine cubes.
  6. 6. Combine in a large bowl the cooled potatoes, the chickpeas, the cucumber, the pickles and the onion.
  7. 7. Dressing: Mix the oil, the paprika and the pepper in a small cup.
  8. 8. Pour the dressing over the salad and gently fold everything. Season with salt if necessary.
  9. 9. Let the salad rest for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
