  1. 1. Cut the cod fillet into large cubes. Set aside.
  2. 2. Peel the cucumber and cut it into half-moon slices. Place them on a large plate.
  3. 3. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fish cubes to the boiling water. Cook them for 3 minutes. Remove them immediately with a spoon.
  4. 4. Place the fish over the cucumber slices. Grate the lemon peel directly over the salad (lemon zest).
  5. 5. Heat the olive oil in a small pan. Toast the fennel seeds for 1 minute. Pour the hot oil over the salad. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm.
