Ingredients
- 3 medium onions
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 bunch chives
- 3 pretzels (from the day before)
- 1 l beef broth
- Nutmeg
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions.
- 2. Cut the onions into thin rings.
- 3. Heat butter in a pan.
- 4. Sauté the onion rings in the hot butter.
- 5. Cook the onions until they are soft.
- 6. Fry the onions lightly until they are golden brown.
- 7. Wash the chives.
- 8. Shake the chives dry.
- 9. Cut the chives into small pieces.
- 10. Rub the salt off the pretzels.
- 11. Slice the pretzels into thin slices.
- 12. Bring the broth to a boil.
- 13. Season the broth with nutmeg.
- 14. Warm the plates.
- 15. Distribute the pretzel slices on the plates.
- 16. Place the fried onion rings on the pretzels.
- 17. Sprinkle the chives over the soup.
- 18. Ladle the hot broth over the ingredients.
- 19. Taste the soup and adjust seasoning if needed.
- 20. Serve the soup immediately.
