🍽️ Onion Quiche with Bacon

Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 180 g butter
- 1 egg
- salt
- 150 g onions
- 50 g streaky bacon
- 2 tbsp grated cheese
- 300 ml whipping cream
- 300 ml milk
- 4 eggs
- nutmeg
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- 1. Knead flour, butter, egg, and salt into a smooth dough. Shape into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and let rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. For the filling, dice the onions and bacon finely. Drain and squeeze well in a kitchen towel.
- 2. For the egg mixture, whisk cream, milk, eggs, nutmeg, and salt well with a mixer.
- 3. Roll out the dough thinly on a floured surface. Line a greased round baking pan with the dough and pre-bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven (220°).
- 4. Remove the pan from the oven and reduce the temperature to 180 °C. Leave the dough in the pan and evenly distribute the onions, bacon, and cheese on top. Pour the egg mixture over it.
- 5. Bake the quiche on the lower rack for about 35 minutes until golden brown.
