🍽️ Crispy Onion and Cabbage Pie

Ingredients
- 300 g white cabbage
- 300 g cooking onion (1 cooking onion)
- 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- salt
- 20 g ghee
- pepper
- 1 bunch flat-leaf parsley
- 200 g sour cream
- 3 eggs (size M)
- 30 g grated parmesan
- nutmeg
- 1 package pizza dough (250 g, from the refrigerated section)
- 200 g diced ham
Instructions
- 1. Remove the hard core from the white cabbage.
- 2. Peel the onions and cut them in half.
- 3. Cut the cabbage and onions into thin strips.
- 4. Add the vegetable mixture with cumin to boiling salted water.
- 5. Cook the vegetables for 5 minutes.
- 6. Shock the vegetables with cold water.
- 7. Let the vegetables drain well.
- 8. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
- 9. Heat ghee in a pan.
- 10. Sauté the drained cabbage-onion mixture over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- 11. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper.
- 12. Finely chop the parsley.
- 13. Mix the parsley with sour cream, eggs, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- 14. Stir the sautéed cabbage-onion mixture into the egg-sour cream mixture.
- 15. Prepare the pizza dough according to package instructions with water.
- 16. Roll out the dough to fit a 36 cm springform pan.
- 17. Press the dough into the greased pan.
- 18. Trim the edge of the dough to be even.
- 19. Prick the dough base several times with a fork.
- 20. Pour the cabbage-egg mixture into the dough pan.
- 21. Smooth the surface of the filling.
- 22. Sprinkle the ham cubes over the filling.
- 23. Bake the pie in the preheated oven on the second rack from the bottom for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
