  4. 4. Peel the carrots and slice them into rounds.
  5. 5. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a large pot.
  6. 6. Add the onions, potatoes, and carrots to the hot oil.
  7. 7. Sauté the vegetables for a few minutes until they start to soften.
  8. 8. Deglaze the vegetables with the vegetable broth.
  9. 9. Add the bay leaves and cumin seeds to the pot.
  10. 10. Simmer the stew over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes.
  11. 11. Heat the remaining oil in a separate frying pan.
  12. 12. Fry the sausages in the pan for 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown.
