  7. 7. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour in a warm place.
  8. 8. Peel the onions.
  9. 9. Slice the onions into thin rings.
  10. 10. Heat the butter in a large pan.
  11. 11. Sauté the onion rings in the hot butter for about 5 minutes until soft.
  12. 12. Remove the pan from the heat.
  13. 13. Let the onions cool down slightly.
  14. 14. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat).
  15. 15. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  16. 16. Dust a work surface with flour.

  18. 18. Ensure the dough is large enough to fit the baking tray.

  24. 24. Add the eggs, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds to the cream mixture.

  27. 27. Bake the pie for about 1 hour until golden brown.
