  1. 1. Wash the snow peas thoroughly and remove any tough strings.
  2. 2. Carefully remove the peas from their pods.
  3. 3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  4. 4. Add the snow peas and peas to the boiling water.
  5. 5. Cook the vegetables for 1 to 2 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  6. 6. Drain the vegetables and rinse them immediately with cold water to stop the cooking process.
  7. 7. Let the vegetables drain well.
  8. 8. Peel the garlic clove and chop it finely.
  9. 9. Whisk the chopped garlic in a bowl with olive oil, sherry vinegar, sugar, a pinch of salt, and pepper.
  10. 10. Add the drained snow peas and peas to the marinade and mix everything well.
  11. 11. Divide the marinated salad onto the plates.
  12. 12. Distribute fresh goat cheese and slices of Serrano ham over the salad.
  13. 13. Sprinkle the dish with some black pepper.
