Ingredients
- 4 untreated lemons
- 100 g sugar
Instructions
- 1. Wash the lemons under hot water.
- 2. Dry the fruits with a cloth.
- 3. Cut off the ends of the lemons.
- 4. Slice the lemons into thin rounds.
- 5. Place the lemon slices in boiling water.
- 6. Simmer the slices for 1 to 2 minutes.
- 7. Drain the water.
- 8. Pat the lemon slices dry.
- 9. Preheat the oven to 120 degrees Celsius fan-assisted.
- 10. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 11. Arrange the lemon slices on the tray.
- 12. Mix the sugar with 100 milliliters of water.
- 13. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 14. Cook the syrup for about 5 minutes.
- 15. Stir constantly.
- 16. Let the syrup cool down briefly.
- 17. Brush the lemon slices with the syrup.
- 18. Place the tray in the oven for about 1 hour.
- 19. Brush the slices with syrup repeatedly in between.
- 20. Remove the tray from the oven.
- 21. Let the slices cool down.
