  3. 3. Cut off the ends of the lemons.
  4. 4. Slice the lemons into thin rounds.
  5. 5. Place the lemon slices in boiling water.
  6. 6. Simmer the slices for 1 to 2 minutes.
  7. 7. Drain the water.
  8. 8. Pat the lemon slices dry.
  9. 9. Preheat the oven to 120 degrees Celsius fan-assisted.
  10. 10. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  11. 11. Arrange the lemon slices on the tray.
  12. 12. Mix the sugar with 100 milliliters of water.
  13. 13. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  14. 14. Cook the syrup for about 5 minutes.
  15. 15. Stir constantly.
  16. 16. Let the syrup cool down briefly.
  17. 17. Brush the lemon slices with the syrup.
  18. 18. Place the tray in the oven for about 1 hour.
  19. 19. Brush the slices with syrup repeatedly in between.
  20. 20. Remove the tray from the oven.
  21. 21. Let the slices cool down.
