  1. 1. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes.
  2. 2. Immediately plunge the tomatoes into cold water.
  3. 3. Peel the skin off the tomatoes.
  4. 4. Cut the tomatoes in half.
  5. 5. Remove the inner core with the seeds.
  6. 6. Cut the tomato flesh into strips.
  7. 7. Wash the zucchini thoroughly.
  8. 8. Cut off the hard ends of the zucchini.
  9. 9. Cut the zucchini into thick pieces about 4 cm long.
  10. 10. Sprinkle the zucchini with a pinch of salt.
  11. 11. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok.
  12. 12. Fry the zucchini for 8 minutes while stirring constantly.
  13. 13. Push the zucchini to the side of the wok.
  14. 14. Add the tomato strips to the center of the wok.
  15. 15. Peel the garlic clove.
  16. 16. Press the garlic directly into the wok.
  17. 17. Fry the tomatoes and garlic in the remaining oil.
  18. 18. Stir the zucchini back into the tomatoes.
  19. 19. Season the dish with soy sauce.
  20. 20. Add a little sugar.
  21. 21. Add Sambal Oelek (a spicy chili paste).
  22. 22. Finally, adjust the seasoning with salt.
