Ingredients
- 6 Oranges
- 3 pink Grapefruits
- 400 ml freshly squeezed Orange Juice
- 80 g Sugar
- Lemons
- 10 Leaves White Gelatin
- 40 ml Cointreau
Instructions
- 1. Put sugar and lemon juice into a small saucepan.
- 2. Heat the mixture over medium heat.
- 3. Cook it until it reaches a syrupy consistency.
- 4. Soak the gelatin in cold water.
- 5. Mix 100 milliliters of orange juice with the hot syrup.
- 6. Squeeze the soaked gelatin well.
- 7. Dissolve the gelatin in the mixture over low heat.
- 8. Stir in the remaining orange juice.
- 9. Peel the oranges and grapefruits thoroughly using a sharp knife.
- 10. Carefully separate the fruit segments from the membranes.
- 11. Catch the juice that escapes.
- 12. Squeeze the remaining fruit pulp by hand.
- 13. Mix the fruit segments, the collected juice, Cointreau, and the jelly base.
- 14. Transfer the mixture into a bowl.
- 15. Place the bowl in the refrigerator.
- 16. Let the jelly set for about 3 hours.
