🍽️ Fresh Cod Ceviche with Lime

Ingredients
- 3 limes
- 0.5 bunch cilantro leaves
- 1 garlic clove
- salt
- sugar
- 300 g cod fillet (sashimi quality)
- 1 small red onion
- 1 avocado
Instructions
- 1. Squeeze the limes to extract the juice.
- 2. Pick the coriander leaves off the stems.
- 3. Peel the garlic clove.
- 4. Finely chop the coriander and the garlic.
- 5. Mix the lime juice with the chopped coriander and garlic.
- 6. Season the mixture with salt and a pinch of sugar.
- 7. Set the marinade aside.
- 8. Rinse the cod fillet under cold water.
- 9. Pat the fish dry with a kitchen towel.
- 10. Cut the fish into small pieces, about the size of a hazelnut.
- 11. Lightly salt the fish pieces.
- 12. Peel the onion.
- 13. Halve the onion.
- 14. Cut the onion halves into thin strips.
- 15. Halve the avocado and remove the pit.
- 16. Carefully scoop the avocado flesh out of the skin with a spoon.
- 17. Dice the avocado flesh finely.
- 18. Mix the cod with the onion strips and the avocado cubes.
- 19. Spread the mixture onto a plate.
- 20. Drizzle the lime marinade over the ceviche.
- 21. Place the plate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- 22. Wait until the fish becomes opaque and white.
