  1. 1. Mix the lemon juice with 400 ml of water and stir in the powdered sugar until dissolved.
  2. 2. Whip the egg whites until stiff and combine them with the lemon-water mixture, then pour into a shallow baking dish or metal bowl.
  3. 3. Place the mixture in the freezer for about 3 hours, stirring at least once every hour.
  4. 4. Before serving, whip the cream until stiff and layer it with the granita in tall glasses. Garnish with lemon slices and serve immediately.
