  1. 1. Bring sugar together with lemon juice, lemon peel, and orange peel to a boil. Add mint and simmer for about 10 minutes, then strain the syrup through a sieve and store covered overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. 2. To serve, add 1 tbsp syrup to a glass and top up with mineral water or sparkling wine. Add ice cubes if desired.
