🍝 Penne with Sardines and Lemon

Ingredients
- 500 g Penne
- Salt
- 500 g Sardine fillet (kitchen-ready)
- 1 untreated Lemon
- 1 Garlic clove
- 2 tbsp Pine nuts
- 4 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 pinch Sugar
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped Parsley
Instructions
- 1. Boil water in a pot and add salt.
- 2. Add the penne pasta to the boiling water.
- 3. Cook the pasta until it is al dente.
- 4. Rinse the sardines under cold water.
- 5. Pat the sardines dry with a kitchen towel.
- 6. Cut the sardines into bite-sized pieces.
- 7. Wash the lemon under hot water.
- 8. Peel the lemon skin in fine strips to get zest.
- 9. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon.
- 10. Peel the garlic.
- 11. Finely chop the garlic.
- 12. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
- 13. Fry the pine nuts, garlic, and sardines in the hot oil.
- 14. Fry the ingredients for two to three minutes.
- 15. Deglaze the pan with the lemon juice.
- 16. Add the drained pasta to the pan.
- 17. Add a little pasta water.
- 18. Add the lemon zest.
- 19. Add the parsley.
- 20. Toss everything briefly.
- 21. Let the mixture sit for a short moment.
- 22. Season with sugar, salt, and pepper.
- 23. Serve the dish.
