  1. 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water.
  2. 2. Slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
  3. 3. Rinse the lemons under hot water and pat them dry.
  4. 4. Slice the lemons into thin rounds as well.
  5. 5. Remove the seeds from the lemon slices.
  6. 6. Take a large baking dish and grease it with one teaspoon of oil.
  7. 7. Layer the dish with alternating slices of potatoes and lemons.
  8. 8. Drizzle the remaining oil over the layers.
  9. 9. Season everything lightly with salt and pepper.
  10. 10. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (180 degrees Celsius with fan or gas mark 3).
  11. 11. Bake the gratin for about 40 minutes in the preheated oven.
  12. 12. Wash the parsley thoroughly and shake off excess water.
  13. 13. Pluck the leaves from the stems and chop them finely.
  14. 14. Sprinkle the finished gratin with the chopped parsley.
