🍽️ Juicy Chicken Breast with Lemon-Thyme Marinade

Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic
- 8 sprigs thyme
- 2 lemons
- pepper
- 4 chicken breast fillets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt
Instructions
- 1. Peel the garlic clove and chop it finely.
- 2. Wash the thyme sprigs and shake them dry.
- 3. Set aside a few thyme sprigs for garnishing.
- 4. Strip the leaves from the remaining thyme sprigs.
- 5. Rinse the lemon under hot water.
- 6. Cut the lemon in half.
- 7. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon.
- 8. Mix the lemon juice with the chopped garlic and thyme leaves.
- 9. Season the marinade with black pepper.
- 10. Rinse the chicken breast fillets under cold water.
- 11. Pat the fillets dry with a kitchen towel.
- 12. Cut the fillets horizontally in half to create thinner cutlets.
- 13. Place the chicken pieces in a shallow dish.
- 14. Pour the marinade evenly over both sides of the chicken.
- 15. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 16. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan.
- 17. Fry the chicken breast fillets over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- 18. Turn the fillets once halfway through the cooking time.
- 19. Deglaze the meat with 50 milliliters of water.
- 20. Cover the pan and let the chicken cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
- 21. Season the finished chicken with salt.
- 22. Cut the remaining lemon into wedges.
- 23. Plate the chicken.
- 24. Garnish the dish with the reserved thyme sprigs.
