Ingredients
- 8 chicken drumsticks (kitchen-ready)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp caper berries (jar)
- 6 sprigs thyme
- 4 tbsp strained tomatoes
- 1 untreated lemon (sliced)
- 200 ml dry white wine
- 250 ml poultry broth
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the chicken thighs under cold running water.
- 2. Pat the meat completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper.
- 4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- 5. Fry the chicken thighs on all sides until golden brown.
- 6. Peel the garlic cloves and chop them finely.
- 7. Add the chopped garlic, capers, thyme, pureed tomatoes, and lemon slices to the pan.
- 8. Deglaze the mixture with the wine and broth.
- 9. Let the sauce simmer over medium heat for about 25 minutes.
- 10. Finally, adjust the seasoning of the sauce with salt and pepper.
- 11. Serve the dish warm.
