🍽️ Juicy Meatballs with Lemon Sauce

Ingredients
- 500 g beef mince
- 1 onion
- 1 bunch parsley (finely chopped)
- 2 eggs
- 1 pinch paprika powder
- 1 tsp mustard
- breadcrumbs
- oil (for frying)
- 250 ml meat broth
- 2 lemons
- 6 cloves young garlic
- 2 tbsp butter
- salt
- pepper from the mill
- parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the lemons thoroughly using a sharp knife.
- 2. Peel the onion and chop it finely.
- 3. Heat some oil in a pan and sauté the onions briefly.
- 4. Mix the sautéed onion with parsley, eggs, mustard, and paprika powder into the minced meat.
- 5. Knead in breadcrumbs as needed until the mixture is moldable and not too soft.
- 6. Shape the mixture into oval meatballs.
- 7. Fry the balls in hot oil over medium heat until golden brown on all sides.
- 8. Remove the meatballs and let them drain on kitchen paper.
- 9. Pour out the excess oil from the pan.
- 10. Sauté the garlic cloves briefly in the pan.
- 11. Deglaze the pan with meat broth.
- 12. Bring the sauce to a boil.
- 13. Add the lemon slices to the boiling sauce.
- 14. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- 15. Arrange the meatballs on plates.
- 16. Place the lemon slices from the sauce on top of the meatballs.
- 17. Remove the remaining sauce from the heat.
- 18. Stir cold butter into the warm sauce.
- 19. Taste the sauce again and adjust with salt and pepper.
- 20. Pour the sauce over the dish.
- 21. Garnish the dish with parsley and serve.
