  1. 1. Pour the flour and baking powder onto a clean work surface.
  2. 2. Press a well into the center of the flour mixture with your hand.
  3. 3. Add the sugar, cinnamon, vanilla sugar, lemon zest, salt, and egg into the well.
  4. 4. Mix these ingredients first with a portion of the flour to form a thick paste.
  5. 5. Place the butter, cut into small pieces, on top of the paste.
  6. 6. Cover the butter with the remaining flour.
  7. 7. Knead everything quickly into a smooth dough.
  8. 8. Wrap the dough tightly in cling film.
  9. 9. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  10. 10. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius (conventional heat).
  11. 11. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
  12. 12. Roll out the dough on the floured surface to a thickness of 5 millimeters.
  13. 13. Cut out stars or moons from the dough.
  14. 14. Place the shaped cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  15. 15. Bake the cookies in the hot oven for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
  16. 16. Remove the cookies from the oven.
  17. 17. Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
  18. 18. Stir the powdered sugar and milk together to form a thick glaze.
  19. 19. Brush the cooled cookies with the glaze.
  20. 20. Allow the glaze to dry thoroughly in the air.
