  1. 1. Cut the veal bratwursts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. 2. Wash the bell peppers thoroughly.
  3. 3. Halve the bell peppers and remove the inside including the seeds.
  4. 4. Cut the deseeded pepper pieces into large chunks.
  5. 5. Drain the pearl onions well.
  6. 6. Thread the sausage pieces, pepper chunks, and pearl onions onto the metal skewers in an alternating pattern.
  7. 7. Preheat the charcoal grill (or use a tabletop grill as an alternative).
  8. 8. Grill the skewers on the hot grill from both sides.
  9. 9. Generously sprinkle the finished skewers with black pepper.
  10. 10. Serve the skewers with mustard on the side.
