  4. 4. Cut the onion into very thin rings.
  5. 5. Distribute the onion rings evenly over the sausage.
  6. 6. Season the salad with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  7. 7. Slice the gherkins (pickles) into thin rounds.
  8. 8. Place the pickle slices on top of the sausage salad.
  9. 9. Whisk together vinegar, pickle juice, broth, and oil in a small bowl.
  10. 10. Pour the dressing mixture evenly over the salad.
  11. 11. Cover the platter and let the salad marinate for 30 minutes.
  12. 12. Wash the radishes under running water.
  13. 13. Remove the tough stems and the root end of the radishes.
  14. 14. Dice the radishes into very small cubes.
