🍽️ Crunchy Sausage and Cheese Salad with Croutons

Ingredients
- 300 g Emmental (sliced)
- 250 g poultry sausage (sliced)
- 200 g gherkins
- 2 tbsp chives
- 5 tbsp vinegar
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 tsp mustard
- 6 tbsp oil
- 150 g country bread (sliced)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 head lettuce
Instructions
- 1. Cut the cheese into thin strips.
- 2. Halve the sausage slices.
- 3. Dice the cucumbers very finely.
- 4. Whisk vinegar, salt, pepper, mustard, and oil together in a small bowl.
- 5. Pour the dressing over the prepared ingredients and mix everything well.
- 6. Adjust the seasoning of the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7. Cut the bread into small cubes.
- 8. Heat butter in a frying pan.
- 9. Fry the bread cubes in the hot butter until golden brown.
- 10. Wash the salad greens thoroughly.
- 11. Dry the leafy greens with a kitchen towel.
- 12. Tear the salad into bite-sized pieces.
- 13. Gently fold the salad pieces into the sausage and cheese mixture.
- 14. Sprinkle the finished salad with the crispy bread cubes.
- 15. Serve the salad immediately.
