  2. 2. Thoroughly wash the peeled vegetables.
  3. 3. Cut the vegetables into thin strips or batons.
  4. 4. Remove the tough cores from the cabbage.
  5. 5. Wash the cabbage and cut it into fine strips as well.
  6. 6. Peel the onion and chop it finely.
  7. 7. Heat some oil in a large pot.
  8. 8. Add the chopped onion to the hot oil.
  9. 9. Sauté the onion until translucent and soft.
  10. 10. Add the prepared vegetables to the pot with the onion.
  11. 11. Sauté the vegetables briefly to soften them slightly.
  12. 12. Deglaze the vegetables with the broth.
  13. 13. Stir the puréed tomatoes into the liquid.
  14. 14. Let the stew simmer on medium heat for about 20 minutes.
  15. 15. Slice the sausage into thick rounds.
  16. 16. Add the sausage slices to the pot 10 minutes before the cooking time ends.
  17. 17. Season the stew with salt, pepper, and cumin.
