🍽️ Homemade Chili Seasoning Salt

Ingredients
- 50 g herbs (e.g. thyme, oregano, rosemary)
- 100 g coarse sea salt
- 1 red chili pepper
- 1 pinch organic lemon zest
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the fresh herbs under cold water.
- 2. Dry the herbs thoroughly with kitchen paper.
- 3. Pluck the leaves or needles from the stems.
- 4. Chop the herbs finely.
- 5. Add half of the salt and the chopped herbs to a mortar.
- 6. Pound the mixture until fine.
- 7. Wash the chili pepper thoroughly.
- 8. Remove the stem base of the chili.
- 9. Cut the chili lengthwise.
- 10. Scrape out the seeds with a spoon.
- 11. Finely chop the chili flesh.
- 12. Add the chopped chili flesh to the herb salt mixture.
- 13. Add the remaining salt.
- 14. Add the lemon zest.
- 15. Transfer the finished seasoning mixture into a screw-top jar.
- 16. Enjoy the salt with fried fish.
