🍽️ Spicy Sauerkraut

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 250 g fresh sauerkraut
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp paprika powder (sweet)
- 75 ml dry white wine (or vegetable broth)
- 200 ml apple juice
- 100 ml soy cream
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tsp apple syrup
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and the garlic.
- 2. Dice the onion and the garlic finely.
- 3. Rinse the sauerkraut in a colander under running water.
- 4. Let the sauerkraut drain well.
- 5. Heat the oil in a pot.
- 6. Fry the onion and garlic cubes in it until light brown.
- 7. Add the drained sauerkraut.
- 8. Fry the cabbage while stirring for another 3 to 4 minutes.
- 9. Sprinkle the cabbage with paprika powder.
- 10. Stir in the white wine.
- 11. Pour in the apple juice.
- 12. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 13. Simmer the sauerkraut over medium heat for 20 minutes.
- 14. Stir the sauerkraut occasionally while cooking.
- 15. Pour in the soy cream.
- 16. Let the dish cook for another 5 minutes.
- 17. Season the sauerkraut with salt.
- 18. Season the sauerkraut with pepper.
- 19. Season the sauerkraut with apple syrup.
