  1. 1. Soak the bread rolls in half of the milk.
  2. 2. Squeeze out the bread rolls and add them to the minced meat.
  3. 3. Heat the oil in a pan.
  4. 4. Sauté the onion and garlic in it.
  5. 5. Add the meat and bread mixture to the pan.
  6. 6. Cook the mixture slowly for about 10 minutes while stirring until it is crumbly.
  7. 7. Stir the curry into the meat mixture.
  8. 8. Mix the mixture with sultanas, almonds, apricot jam, chutney, lemon juice, and cardamom.
  9. 9. Remove the pan from the heat.
  10. 10. Season the filling with salt and pepper.
  11. 11. Transfer the meat mixture into a baking dish or 4 to 6 smaller dishes.
  12. 12. Peel the mango and cut it into slices.
  13. 13. Peel the banana and cut it diagonally into thick slices.
  14. 14. Place the fruit pieces on top of the meat mixture.
  15. 15. Press the fruit slightly into the filling.
  16. 16. Mix the eggs with the remaining milk.
  17. 17. Pour the egg and milk mixture over the casserole.
  18. 18. Place the bay leaves on top.
  19. 19. Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat.
  20. 20. Bake the casserole for about 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
