  1. 1. Peel the garlic clove and the piece of ginger.
  2. 2. Mix the garlic and ginger in a bowl with the sesame oil, lime juice, yogurt, and tomato paste.
  3. 3. Stir the cardamom, coriander, cumin, turmeric, chili, and ground cloves into the yogurt mixture.
  4. 4. Wash the chicken and pat it dry with a kitchen towel.
  5. 5. Cut the meat into strips approximately 5 cm long and 1 cm wide.
  6. 6. Mix the chicken strips thoroughly with the marinade.
  7. 7. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  8. 8. Preheat the oven to the grill setting.
  9. 9. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil.
  10. 10. Take the chicken strips out of the marinade and place them on the tray.
  11. 11. Grill the meat on the middle rack for 8 to 10 minutes until it is lightly browned.
  12. 12. Turn the chicken strips and grill them for another 5 to 8 minutes.
  13. 13. Season the finished strips with salt and serve them with lime wedges.
