🍽️ Spicy Chicken Strips (Chicken Tikka)

Ingredients
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 piece ginger (walnut-sized)
- 4 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp yogurt cream (10%)
- 0.5 tbsp tomato paste
- 0.5 tsp cardamom (ground)
- 1 tsp coriander (ground)
- 1 tsp cumin (ground)
- 0.5 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 pinch clove powder
- 600 g chicken breast fillet
- salt
- 4 lime wedges (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the garlic clove and the piece of ginger.
- 2. Mix the garlic and ginger in a bowl with the sesame oil, lime juice, yogurt, and tomato paste.
- 3. Stir the cardamom, coriander, cumin, turmeric, chili, and ground cloves into the yogurt mixture.
- 4. Wash the chicken and pat it dry with a kitchen towel.
- 5. Cut the meat into strips approximately 5 cm long and 1 cm wide.
- 6. Mix the chicken strips thoroughly with the marinade.
- 7. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
- 8. Preheat the oven to the grill setting.
- 9. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil.
- 10. Take the chicken strips out of the marinade and place them on the tray.
- 11. Grill the meat on the middle rack for 8 to 10 minutes until it is lightly browned.
- 12. Turn the chicken strips and grill them for another 5 to 8 minutes.
- 13. Season the finished strips with salt and serve them with lime wedges.
