  1. 1. Rinse the chicken drumsticks under running water.
  2. 2. Pat the drumsticks completely dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Place the chicken drumsticks in a shallow baking dish.
  4. 4. Peel the garlic cloves and chop them finely.
  5. 5. Whisk the oil, finely chopped garlic, ginger, paprika powder, turmeric, cayenne pepper, honey, lemon juice, and pepper together in a small bowl.
  6. 6. Coat the chicken drumsticks evenly with the marinade.
  7. 7. Cover the dish and let the drumsticks marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
  8. 8. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan setting.
  9. 9. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
  10. 10. Peel the potatoes and cut them into wedges.
  11. 11. Peel the shallots and the garlic.
  12. 12. Halve the shallots.
  13. 13. Wash the chili peppers.
  14. 14. Remove the stems and the inside of the chili peppers.
  15. 15. Finely chop the chili peppers.
  16. 16. Slice the lemon into rounds.
  17. 17. Slice the orange into rounds.
  18. 18. Place the lemon and orange slices in an oiled casserole dish or baking pan.
  19. 19. Distribute the potato wedges, garlic, and shallots over the fruit.
  20. 20. Season the vegetables with salt.
  21. 21. Drizzle the vegetables with oil.
  22. 22. Place the chicken drumsticks on top of the vegetables with the skin side facing down.
  23. 23. Season the chicken drumsticks with salt.
  24. 24. Roast the drumsticks in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes.
  25. 25. Defat the sauce as needed by removing excess fat.
  26. 26. Turn the potatoes and the chicken drumsticks once during the cooking time.
  27. 27. Garnish the finished dish with lemon basil.
  28. 28. Serve the chicken drumsticks hot.
