🍽️ Spicy Chicken Wings with Dip

Ingredients
- 1.2 kg chicken wings
- 1 large onion
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp peanut oil
- 0.5 tsp cumin (ground)
- 0.5 tsp ground allspice
- 0.5 tsp ground coriander seeds
- Thyme (1/4 tsp each, dried)
- Oregano (1/4 tsp each, dried)
- 2 dried red chili peppers
- 500 g tomato puree (from a can)
- 2 tbsp cane sugar
- Salt
- Pepper (from a mill)
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp orange liqueur
- 4 pickled green chili peppers
- 200 g sour cream
Instructions
- 1. Wash the chicken wings thoroughly.
- 2. Cut off the tip ends of the wings.
- 3. Pat the wings dry with a kitchen towel.
- 4. Peel the onion and the garlic.
- 5. Finely chop the onion and the garlic.
- 6. Heat the oil in a pot.
- 7. Add the onions and garlic to the hot oil.
- 8. Sauté the vegetables until they are soft.
- 9. Crush the spices, herbs, and chili peppers in a mortar.
- 10. Add the crushed ingredients to the onion-garlic mixture.
- 11. Add the pureed tomatoes.
- 12. Let the sauce simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes.
- 13. Stir the sauce occasionally.
- 14. Season the sauce with sugar.
- 15. Season the sauce with salt.
- 16. Season the sauce with pepper.
- 17. Add vinegar to the sauce.
- 18. Add Worcestershire sauce to the sauce.
- 19. Add orange liqueur to the sauce.
- 20. Brush the chicken wings with about one-third of the tomato sauce.
- 21. Preheat the grill.
- 22. Place the wings on the hot grill.
- 23. Grill the wings on each side for about 8 to 10 minutes.
- 24. Grill the wings until they are brown and crispy.
- 25. Arrange the chicken wings on a platter.
- 26. Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the wings.
- 27. Slice the chili peppers.
- 28. Garnish the wings with the chili slices.
- 29. Stir the sour cream.
- 30. Serve the sour cream as a dip alongside.
