🍽️ Spicy Beef Patty Burgers – smarter

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp green peppercorns (jar)
- 300 g beef tartare (minced beef)
- 1 tsp red curry paste
- salt
- 1 small red onion
- 2 lettuce leaves (e.g. romaine)
- 1 tomato
- 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 2 whole wheat rolls
- 50 g mango chutney (2 tbsp)
Instructions
- 1. Place the peppercorns in a sieve and let them drain well.
- 2. Then finely chop the peppercorns.
- 3. Place the minced beef (tartare) and the curry paste in a bowl.
- 4. Mix the ingredients well with the chopped peppercorns.
- 5. Season the mixture lightly with salt.
- 6. Peel the onion and slice it into thin rings.
- 7. Wash the lettuce leaves thoroughly.
- 8. Dry the lettuce, for example in a salad spinner.
- 9. Also wash the tomato thoroughly.
- 10. Slice the tomato into even slices.
- 11. Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions.
- 12. Shape the portions into two flat burger patties.
- 13. Heat a grill pan on the stovetop.
- 14. Brush the hot pan thinly with the oil.
- 15. Place the burger patties and the onion rings in the pan.
- 16. Grill the burgers for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
- 17. Slice the buns in half horizontally.
- 18. Place the dry lettuce leaves on the bottom bun halves.
- 19. Place the grilled burger patties on the lettuce.
- 20. Top the burgers with the grilled onion rings.
- 21. Add the tomato slices as a topping.
- 22. Add one tablespoon of mango chutney to each burger.
- 23. Cover the burgers with the top bun halves.
- 24. Serve the burgers immediately while warm.
