  2. 2. Cut the peppers in half and remove the inner core with the seeds.
  3. 3. Cut the pepper pieces into small cubes.
  4. 4. Peel the onion and dice it finely.
  5. 5. Peel the garlic clove and leave it whole.
  6. 6. Rinse the cherry tomatoes briefly.
  7. 7. Heat the oil in a pan.
  8. 8. Sauté the onion cubes in the hot oil until soft.
  9. 9. Add the pepper cubes to the onion in the pan.
  10. 10. Cover the pan with a lid.
  11. 11. Cook the vegetables on medium heat for about 10 minutes.
  12. 12. Stir the vegetables regularly during the cooking time.
  13. 13. Add the whole garlic clove to the vegetables.
  14. 14. Deglaze the mixture with broth and water.
  15. 15. Let the liquid come to a brief boil.
  16. 16. Stir the tomato paste into the sauce.
  17. 17. Add the cherry tomatoes to the pan.
  18. 18. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and sugar.
  19. 19. Cover the pan again.
  20. 20. Let the vegetables simmer for about 5 minutes.

  22. 22. Let the sausages cook on low heat for another 5 minutes.
  23. 23. Serve the dish with fresh, crusty bread.
