🍽️ Pear and Leek Wrap with Walnuts

Ingredients
- 0.5 oak leaf lettuce
- 60 g peeled walnut kernels
- 2 ripe pears (e.g. Williams Christ)
- lemon juice
- 0.5 stalk leek
- 50 g diced Gouda
- 400 g grainy cream cheese
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 0.5 tsp liquid honey
- 8 wraps (ready-made product) (approx. 20 cm diameter)
Instructions
- 1. Separate the leaves from the salad.
- 2. Wash the salad thoroughly.
- 3. Pick through the salad to remove any damaged parts.
- 4. Spin the salad dry.
- 5. Tear the salad leaves into bite-sized pieces.
- 6. Roughly chop the walnuts.
- 7. Heat a pan without adding any fat.
- 8. Lightly toast the walnuts in the hot pan.
- 9. Remove the walnuts from the pan.
- 10. Set the walnuts aside.
- 11. Let the walnuts cool down.
- 12. Peel the pears.
- 13. Quarter the pears.
- 14. Remove the cores from the pears.
- 15. Cut the pears into small cubes.
- 16. Drizzle the pear cubes with lemon juice immediately.
- 17. Cut the leek lengthwise.
- 18. Rinse the leek with hot water.
- 19. Shake the leek dry.
- 20. Clean the leek by removing the tough bottom and green tops.
- 21. Slice the leek into rings.
- 22. Place the leek into a blender.
- 23. Add the cooled walnuts to the blender.
- 24. Add the pear cubes to the blender.
- 25. Add the cheese to the blender.
- 26. Add the cream cheese to the blender.
- 27. Puree the ingredients in the blender until roughly combined.
- 28. Season the mixture with salt.
- 29. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 30. Add a splash of lemon juice.
- 31. Add honey.
- 32. Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning if needed.
- 33. Heat a pan without adding any fat.
- 34. Warm the wraps in the hot pan.
- 35. Flip the wraps to warm both sides.
- 36. Do not brown the wraps.
- 37. Place salad on the top quarter of each wrap.
- 38. Spread some pear mixture onto the wrap.
- 39. Leave a 2 cm wide border empty.
- 40. Fold the bottom end of the wrap slightly inward.
- 41. Roll up the wraps tightly.
- 42. Wrap the finished wraps halfway in napkins.
- 43. Serve the wraps.
