🍽️ Crispy Savoy Cabbage Gratin with Ham and Cheese

Ingredients
- 1 Savoy cabbage
- salt
- 150 g Gouda
- 150 g cooked ham
- 4 spring onions
- 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
- 100 ml whipping cream
- salt
- pepper
- butter (for the dish)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan-assisted.
- 2. Remove the outer leaves from the savoy cabbage and cut the vegetable into quarters.
- 3. Cut out the hard core from the inside of the savoy cabbage quarters.
- 4. Divide the savoy cabbage halves into six pieces.
- 5. Blanch the savoy cabbage in plenty of boiling salted water for about 10 minutes.
- 6. Remove the cabbage from the water and rinse it with cold water.
- 7. Let the savoy cabbage drain well.
- 8. Grate the cheese finely.
- 9. Cut the ham into thin strips.
- 10. Wash the spring onions and trim the ends.
- 11. Slice the spring onions into thin rings.
- 12. Grease an ovenproof dish with butter.
- 13. Place the savoy cabbage wedges into the prepared dish.
- 14. Season the savoy cabbage with salt and pepper.
- 15. Sprinkle the grated cheese and ham strips over the top.
- 16. Distribute the spring onion rings and sunflower seeds over the gratin.
- 17. Pour the cream over the vegetables.
- 18. Bake the gratin in the preheated oven until golden brown and bubbling.
