  1. 1. Pour red wine, orange juice, and cinnamon sticks into a large bowl.
  2. 2. Peel the skin of one lemon and one orange in a spiral shape.
  3. 3. Squeeze the juice from the peeled citrus fruits.
  4. 4. Add the fruit peels and juice to the wine mixture.
  5. 5. Thoroughly wash the remaining oranges under hot water.
  6. 6. Slice the oranges into pieces about half a centimeter thick.
  7. 7. Wash the apples and cut them into quarters.
  8. 8. Remove the core from the apple quarters.
  9. 9. Cut the apples into small cubes.
  10. 10. Add the orange slices and apple cubes to the wine mixture.
  11. 11. Let the mixture steep for about two hours.
  12. 12. Pour the mixture through a sieve into a saucepan.
  13. 13. Add the cinnamon sticks and fruit peels back into the pot.
  14. 14. Heat the liquid slowly until foam forms.
  15. 15. Prevent the mixture from boiling.
  16. 16. Remove the pot from the heat.
  17. 17. Return the orange slices and apple cubes to the wine.
  18. 18. Add Cointreau and brandy.
  19. 19. Let the sangria steep for about four minutes.
  20. 20. Pour the hot sangria into punch glasses.
  21. 21. Serve the sangria with wooden skewers or toothpicks for the fruit.
  22. 22. Serve rock sugar for sweetening.
