  1. 1. Cook the wild rice according to the package instructions.
  2. 2. Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes.
  3. 3. Clean the mushrooms and slice some of them.
  4. 4. Leave the remaining mushrooms whole.
  5. 5. Wash the chives and shake them dry.
  6. 6. Cut the chives into fine rings.
  7. 7. Heat the oil in a frying pan.
  8. 8. Sauté the onion cubes briefly.
  9. 9. Add the sliced and whole mushrooms to the pan.
  10. 10. Fry the mushrooms vigorously for 2 to 3 minutes while stirring.
  11. 11. Remove the pan from the heat.
  12. 12. Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper.
  13. 13. Stir the balsamic vinegar into the mushrooms.
  14. 14. Drain the cooked rice.
  15. 15. Add the rice to the mushrooms in the pan.
  16. 16. Add the chive rings.
  17. 17. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
  18. 18. Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
  19. 19. Serve the salad lukewarm.
