  2. 2. Finely grate the lemon zest and squeeze out the juice.
  3. 3. Mix the lemon zest with the breadcrumbs.
  4. 4. Add some salt, pepper, and paprika powder to the breadcrumb-lemon mixture.
  5. 5. Rinse the schnitzels and dry them with a kitchen towel.
  6. 6. Pound the schnitzels flat if necessary.
  7. 7. Drizzle the schnitzels with the lemon juice.
  8. 8. Dust the schnitzels with flour on both sides.
  9. 9. Whisk the egg in a shallow bowl.
  10. 10. Coat the schnitzels in the egg mixture.
  11. 11. Then coat the schnitzels in the lemon breadcrumb mixture.
  12. 12. Press the coating firmly onto the meat.
  13. 13. Heat the ghee (clarified butter) in a large frying pan.
  14. 14. Fry the schnitzels for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  15. 15. Regularly spoon the hot ghee over the schnitzels.
  16. 16. Serve the schnitzels, for example, with mashed potatoes, chives, and fried onions.
