🍽️ Wheat and Pepper Pan with Sausages

Ingredients
- 250 g wheat
- 2 red bell peppers
- 2 tsp fennel seeds
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 sausages (approx. 250 g each)
- oil (for frying)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 small arugula
Instructions
- 1. Place the wheat in a bowl with cold water overnight.
- 2. Pour off the soaking water and rinse the wheat.
- 3. Put the wheat in fresh water and cook it for about one hour until soft.
- 4. Season the cooking water well with salt when there are 15 minutes left until draining.
- 5. Drain the wheat and set it aside.
- 6. Wash the bell peppers and remove the inside with the seeds.
- 7. Cut the peppers into small cubes.
- 8. Heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a pan.
- 9. Sauté the pepper cubes together with the fennel lightly.
- 10. Mix the sautéed fennel and peppers with the cooked wheat.
- 11. Finally season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 12. Fry the sausages in a little oil until browned all over.
- 13. Cut the cooked sausages into thick slices.
- 14. Chop the arugula coarsely.
- 15. Gently fold the sausage slices and arugula into the wheat mixture.
- 16. Plate the dish and serve it.
