  1. 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water.
  2. 2. Cut the washed tomatoes into small pieces.
  3. 3. Toast the white bread lightly until it is golden brown.
  4. 4. Let the toasted bread cool down completely.
  5. 5. Peel the onion.
  6. 6. Cut the onion into wedges.
  7. 7. Shred the onion wedges into thin strips.
  8. 8. Rinse the celery.
  9. 9. Let the celery drain well.
  10. 10. Cut the celery into thin strips.
  11. 11. Cut the cooled white bread into cubes of about 2 to 3 centimeters in size.
  12. 12. Mix vinegar, lemon juice, and oil in a bowl.
  13. 13. Season the liquid with salt, sugar, and pepper.
  14. 14. Cut the garlic clove in half.
  15. 15. Rub the inside of the serving jars with the cut surfaces of the garlic.
  16. 16. Mix the tomato pieces, bread cubes, onion strips, celery strips, parsley, and basil leaves.
  17. 17. Pour the vinaigrette over the salad mixture.
  18. 18. Fill the salad into the prepared jars.
  19. 19. Garnish the salad with fresh basil leaves.
  20. 20. Serve the salad immediately.
