🍽️ Crunchy White Bread Tomato Salad

Ingredients
- 4 slices Italian white bread
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 tsp finely chopped parsley
- 1 small onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- sugar
- pepper from the mill
- 1 stalk celery
- basil
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Cut the washed tomatoes into small pieces.
- 3. Toast the white bread lightly until it is golden brown.
- 4. Let the toasted bread cool down completely.
- 5. Peel the onion.
- 6. Cut the onion into wedges.
- 7. Shred the onion wedges into thin strips.
- 8. Rinse the celery.
- 9. Let the celery drain well.
- 10. Cut the celery into thin strips.
- 11. Cut the cooled white bread into cubes of about 2 to 3 centimeters in size.
- 12. Mix vinegar, lemon juice, and oil in a bowl.
- 13. Season the liquid with salt, sugar, and pepper.
- 14. Cut the garlic clove in half.
- 15. Rub the inside of the serving jars with the cut surfaces of the garlic.
- 16. Mix the tomato pieces, bread cubes, onion strips, celery strips, parsley, and basil leaves.
- 17. Pour the vinaigrette over the salad mixture.
- 18. Fill the salad into the prepared jars.
- 19. Garnish the salad with fresh basil leaves.
- 20. Serve the salad immediately.
