🍽️ Crispy Ciabatta in Italian Style

Ingredients
- 1.5 tsp dried yeast
- 375 ml lukewarm water
- 750 g wheat flour
- 15 g salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven. An oven with steam function works best for this recipe.
- 2. Dissolve the yeast in 250 milliliters of warm water in a bowl.
- 3. Add 250 grams of flour and stir the mixture well.
- 4. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes covered in a warm place.
- 5. Transfer the dough into a mixing bowl.
- 6. Add the remaining water, the remaining flour, and salt.
- 7. Knead the dough with a hand mixer or a food processor for about 15 minutes.
- 8. Stop kneading when the dough is smooth, elastic, and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
- 9. Let the dough rise covered in a warm place until its volume has doubled.
- 10. Work the dough well again after it has risen.
- 11. Rub the dough with olive oil.
- 12. Place the dough into a bowl.
- 13. Cover the bowl with a clean, damp kitchen towel.
- 14. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it has doubled again.
- 15. Gently shape the dough into a long strip.
- 16. Loosely twist the ends of the strip together.
- 17. Form the strip into a ring.
- 18. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 19. Lightly dust the dough with flour.
- 20. Bake the bread at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes.
- 21. Remove the bread from the oven when it is golden brown.
- 22. Tap the bottom of the bread. It should sound hollow.
- 23. Let the bread cool on a wire rack.
- 24. Serve the ciabatta as you like.
