🍽️ Cheese Rolls in Grape Leaves

Ingredients
- 20 grape leaves pickled in brine (delicatessen)
- 5 small red chili peppers
- 100 g goat cheese
- 100 g feta
- 50 g cream cheese
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- herbs (for garnish, e.g. oregano, basil)
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the grape leaves under running water.
- 2. Lay the grape leaves flat on a kitchen towel.
- 3. Wash the chili pepper thoroughly.
- 4. Cut the chili pepper in half lengthwise.
- 5. Remove the seeds and white pith from the chili pepper.
- 6. Finely chop the chili pepper.
- 7. Cut the cheese into small cubes.
- 8. Mix the cut cheese with the cream cheese.
- 9. Add the chopped chili pepper to the cheese mixture.
- 10. Add the lemon juice to the mixture.
- 11. Season the filling with salt.
- 12. Season the filling with pepper.
- 13. Take one tablespoon of the cheese mixture.
- 14. Place the cheese mixture onto a single grape leaf.
- 15. Fold the left side of the grape leaf over the filling.
- 16. Fold the right side of the grape leaf over the filling.
- 17. Roll the grape leaf tightly from bottom to top into a roll.
- 18. Distribute the filled rolls into small bowls.
- 19. Garnish the bowls with fresh herb leaves.
- 20. Place one chili pepper as decoration alongside.
- 21. Serve the grape leaves with freshly toasted white bread.
