🍽️ Christmas Liqueur

Ingredients
- 2 cardamom pods
- 1 vanilla pod
- 1 star anise
- 4 cloves
- 0.5 cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp pink berries (pink peppercorns)
- 700 ml brandy
- 100 g honey
- 100 g dried plums
- 100 g dried apricots
- 100 g dried fig
- 50 g sultanas
Instructions
- 1. Crush the cardamom pods in a mortar.
- 2. Remove the shells from the pods.
- 3. Grind the seeds finely.
- 4. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise.
- 5. Coarsely crush the star anise, cloves, and cinnamon stick in the mortar.
- 6. Do not grind the spices too finely.
- 7. Leave the pink berries whole.
- 8. Pour the grape spirit into a large jar.
- 9. Stir the honey into the grape spirit.
- 10. Add the spices to the jar.
- 11. Add the whole dried fruits to the jar.
- 12. Seal the jar.
- 13. Let the liqueur infuse at room temperature for at least 4 weeks.
- 14. Strain the spiced liqueur through a fine sieve.
- 15. Gently squeeze the soaked fruits.
- 16. Use the dried fruits, for example, for baking.
- 17. Discard the spices.
- 18. Filter the Christmas liqueur again.
- 19. Catch fine spice particles in the process.
- 20. Fill the liqueur into bottles or decanters.
- 21. Add a vanilla stick or cinnamon stick as decoration if desired.
