🍽️ Christmas Herbal Liqueur

Ingredients
- 1 l grain alcohol
- 1 organic orange, unwaxed
- peel of one unwaxed lemon
- 1 vanilla pod
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 2 bay leaves
- thyme
- rosemary
- 3 juniper berries
- 5 cloves
- 10 coffee beans
- 4 sage leaves
- 300 g sugar
- 300 ml water
Instructions
- 1. Poke the orange several times with a fork. Put all ingredients (except the sugar) in a jar and fill with grain alcohol. Let the mixture steep for about 5 weeks in a cool place.
- 2. After the steeping time, strain the liqueur through a cotton cloth.
- 3. Boil the sugar together with water to make a syrup. Mix the syrup with the liqueur and fill into a bottle. Let the sealed liqueur rest for another 3 weeks, then strain again through a coffee filter and pour into a clean bottle.
