🍽️ Wasabi Fish Rolls on Vegetables

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 600 g fish fillet (kitchen-ready e.g. red cod)
- 1 tsp wasabi
- 1 tbsp crème fraîche
- 1 dash lemon juice
- 500 g pak choi
- 4 spring onions
- 2 carrots
- 10 g ginger (1 piece)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 150 ml vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Toast the sesame seeds in a pan without oil.
- 2. Let the sesame seeds cool down completely.
- 3. Rinse the fish fillets under cold water.
- 4. Pat the fish fillets dry with a kitchen towel.
- 5. Cut the fish fillets in half lengthwise.
- 6. Cut the fillets into strips about 4 centimeters wide.
- 7. Mix the wasabi with the sour cream.
- 8. Add a splash of lemon juice to the wasabi mixture.
- 9. Stir the mixture until smooth.
- 10. Spread the wasabi cream thinly on the skin side of the fish strips.
- 11. Roll up the fish strips tightly.
- 12. Secure the rolls with wooden skewers.
- 13. Roll the fish rolls in the cooled sesame seeds.
- 14. Wash the pak choi thoroughly.
- 15. Remove the tough end stems from the pak choi.
- 16. Cut the pak choi into pieces about 2 centimeters wide.
- 17. Wash the spring onions.
- 18. Remove the dry tips of the spring onions.
- 19. Cut the spring onions diagonally into pieces about 4 centimeters long.
- 20. Peel the carrots.
- 21. Slice the carrots lengthwise into thin rounds.
- 22. Cut the carrot slices diagonally into pieces.
- 23. Peel the ginger.
- 24. Grate the ginger finely.
- 25. Heat the oil in a wok.
- 26. Sauté the ginger and carrots in the hot oil.
- 27. Cook the vegetables for 1 to 2 minutes.
- 28. Add the pak choi to the wok.
- 29. Add the spring onions to the wok.
- 30. Deglaze the vegetables with broth.
- 31. Add soy sauce.
- 32. Simmer the vegetables for about 2 minutes.
- 33. Place the fish rolls on top of the vegetables.
- 34. Lightly salt the fish rolls.
- 35. Steam the rolls covered for about 4 minutes.
- 36. Season the dish with soy sauce.
- 37. Season the dish with pepper.
