🍽️ Walliser Onion Salad

Ingredients
- 4 large onions
- hot water
- 50 g breakfast bacon
- 4 tbsp broth (in cubes)
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- salt
- pepper
- 1 sprig parsley
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions.
- 2. Slice the onions thinly.
- 3. Pour hot water over the onion slices.
- 4. Drain the water using a sieve.
- 5. Cut the bacon into small cubes.
- 6. Fry the bacon cubes until crispy.
- 7. Add the prepared onion slices to the pan.
- 8. Pour in the vegetable broth.
- 9. Steam the onions for about 4 minutes over low heat.
- 10. Add the vinegar.
- 11. Wash the parsley.
- 12. Shake the parsley dry.
- 13. Chop the parsley coarsely.
- 14. Season the salad with salt and pepper.
- 15. Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the salad.
- 16. Serve the Walliser onion salad.
