  2. 2. Shake the leaves dry to remove excess water.
  3. 3. Tie small bunches of woodruff onto a string.
  4. 4. Hang the strings with the woodruff bunches into a large punch bowl.
  5. 5. Pour one bottle of white wine over the hanging leaves.
  6. 6. Ensure that only the leaves touch the wine, not the stems.
  7. 7. Wash one orange thoroughly.
  8. 8. Slice the orange into thin rounds.
  9. 9. Add one orange slice directly into the wine.
  10. 10. Place the punch bowl, covered, in a cool place for about 30 minutes.
  11. 11. Remove the woodruff bunches from the punch bowl.
  12. 12. Pour the remaining white wine into the punch bowl.
  13. 13. Add the remaining orange slices.
  14. 14. Stir the mixture well to combine everything.
  15. 15. Top up the punch with sparkling wine (Sekt) just before serving.
