Ingredients
- 2 bunches woodruff
- 2 bottles dry white wine
- 1 untreated orange
- 1 bottle sparkling wine
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the woodruff under running water.
- 2. Shake the leaves dry to remove excess water.
- 3. Tie small bunches of woodruff onto a string.
- 4. Hang the strings with the woodruff bunches into a large punch bowl.
- 5. Pour one bottle of white wine over the hanging leaves.
- 6. Ensure that only the leaves touch the wine, not the stems.
- 7. Wash one orange thoroughly.
- 8. Slice the orange into thin rounds.
- 9. Add one orange slice directly into the wine.
- 10. Place the punch bowl, covered, in a cool place for about 30 minutes.
- 11. Remove the woodruff bunches from the punch bowl.
- 12. Pour the remaining white wine into the punch bowl.
- 13. Add the remaining orange slices.
- 14. Stir the mixture well to combine everything.
- 15. Top up the punch with sparkling wine (Sekt) just before serving.
