🍽️ Waffle Cake with Orange Cream

Ingredients
- 125 g soft butter
- 125 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 120 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 50 g ground almond kernels
- butter (for the waffle iron)
- 250 g quark
- 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 1 untreated orange (juice and zest)
- 20 ml orange liqueur
- 200 ml whipping cream
- orange zest
- orange segments
- mint
Instructions
- 1. Beat the butter with the sugar until creamy.
- 2. Add the eggs one by one.
- 3. Whip the mixture until frothy.
- 4. Mix the flour with the ground almonds.
- 5. Stir the flour mixture evenly into the frothy mass.
- 6. Stir the quark smooth with the sugar.
- 7. Add the orange zest and orange juice.
- 8. Add the liqueur.
- 9. Whip the cream until stiff.
- 10. Fold the whipped cream into the quark mixture.
- 11. Grease the waffle iron with a little butter.
- 12. Place 1-2 tablespoons of batter in the center of the iron.
- 13. Bake the waffles until golden brown.
- 14. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
- 15. Cut the waffles into quarters.
- 16. Spread the cream onto the waffle pieces.
- 17. Stack the waffles into a tower.
- 18. Decorate the cake with orange zest.
- 19. Decorate the cake with orange segments.
- 20. Decorate the cake with mint.
- 21. Serve the cake.
