Ingredients
- 100 g flour
- 150 g whipping cream
- 2 egg yolks
- vanilla pods
- organic lemon
- 30 g melted butter
- 3 egg whites
- 30 g sugar
- butter (for the waffle iron)
- syrup
- 500 g mixed, chopped fresh berries (to taste)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to the lowest setting.
- 2. Put the flour into a large bowl.
- 3. Sift the flour directly into the bowl.
- 4. Add the cream to the bowl.
- 5. Add the egg yolks to the bowl.
- 6. Add the vanilla seeds to the bowl.
- 7. Add the butter to the bowl.
- 8. Add the lemon zest to the bowl.
- 9. Stir all ingredients in the bowl well.
- 10. Add a pinch of salt to a separate bowl.
- 11. Add the sugar to the bowl with the salt.
- 12. Whip the egg whites very stiff until they are firm.
- 13. Preheat the waffle iron.
- 14. Grease the waffle iron with some butter.
- 15. Add a few tablespoons of batter into the waffle iron.
- 16. Spread the batter in the waffle iron.
- 17. Bake the waffle.
- 18. Take the finished waffle out of the iron.
- 19. Repeat the process for the remaining batter.
- 20. Keep the waffles warm in the preheated oven.
- 21. Cut the waffles into triangles.
- 22. Dust the waffles with powdered sugar.
- 23. Put the lemon juice into a small bowl.
- 24. Add the sugar to the bowl with the lemon juice.
- 25. Mix the lemon juice and the sugar.
- 26. Put the fruit into a bowl.
- 27. Add the lemon-sugar mixture to the fruit.
- 28. Mix the fruit with the lemon-sugar mixture.
- 29. Put some syrup on the waffles.
- 30. Serve the mixed fruit with the waffles.
