🍰 Crispy Waffles with Sweet Apple Topping

Ingredients
- 1 Apple
- 4 tbsp soft butter
- 1 tbsp honey
- 50 g butter
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 eggs
- 100 ml milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 150 g flour
Instructions
- 1. Peel the apple and cut it into four quarters.
- 2. Remove the core from each quarter.
- 3. Dice the apple pieces into small cubes.
- 4. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan.
- 5. Add the apple cubes and honey to the hot butter.
- 6. Sauté the mixture briefly.
- 7. Remove the pan from the heat immediately.
- 8. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter for the batter.
- 9. Whisk the melted butter with the sugar and a pinch of salt until creamy.
- 10. Add the eggs one by one to the butter-sugar mixture.
- 11. Mix the flour with the baking powder.
- 12. Stir in the milk and the flour mixture alternately into the batter.
- 13. Preheat your double waffle iron.
- 14. Brush the hot waffle iron with a little butter.
- 15. Pour the batter into the molds of the waffle iron.
- 16. Let the batter bake slightly for a short time.
- 17. Distribute the warm apple cubes on one half of the waffle.
- 18. Close the waffle iron.
- 19. Bake the waffle until golden brown.
- 20. Remove the finished waffle from the iron.
- 21. Serve the waffles immediately while hot.
